What We're Doing

Farming is an integral and familiar way of life in the  Philippines.  Philippines Focus has on-going projects in pig farming and mango growing in the Philippines.  The first photo shows one of  our first farrows (litters of piglets)!  Pork is a significant part of  the Filipino diet, as are mangoes, so this is why we are pursuing these  forms of farming. The second photo shows one of our farmers spraying  fertilizer in a TALL mango tree he has climbed.  We have to spray mango  trees with fertilizer and pesticide numerous times to achieve top  production for each crop of mangoes.  The third photo is of a  tenant farm worked by a wonderful and devoted Filipino family with very  limited means.  We provide charitable support to this farmer, as well as  utilizing mango trees for fruit production on the farm his family  works.
